The 132kV Kisumu–Bondo–Rang’ala Transmission Line Project is a critical infrastructure initiative aimed at enhancing power transmission and grid stability in Western Kenya. The project involves the design, supply, installation, and commissioning of a 93-kilometer, 132kV high-voltage transmission line, connecting key urban and rural areas. This strategic transmission corridor will significantly improve the efficiency and reliability of power delivery to communities and industries across Kisumu, Bondo, and Rang’ala.

A key component of the project is the construction of a new 132/33kV substation in Bondo, which will serve as a vital hub for power distribution and voltage transformation in the region. Once complete, the project will boost electricity access, reduce transmission losses, and support ongoing economic growth in Nyanza and surrounding areas. This development aligns with Kenya’s national goals of modernizing energy infrastructure and expanding access to affordable, reliable electricity for all.
